Job Openings In Canada
January 6th, 2008 at 10:48 am by Cat Lover in Featured PostRunning a business is never easy. As a small business owner, I have to take care of everything from the top to the bottom. Maybe it is me for I have a tendency to micro manage rather than macro manage which I am suppose to be doing. I love sales and marketing and these are the areas in which I always try to get involve in especially in the planning stage. As for the rest of the business operations, I try to get involve as much as possible to the dismay of my partners and employees. Luckily my partners are very understanding as they know me to be a very hands on person who likes to get into the thick of action.
The most difficult part is when we are hiring people. I try to get myself out of the hiring processes whenever I can but as one of the partners, I have to do my part in vetting the people we hire. The times when we have to hire or recruit new people to expand the business and this where the difficult part comes in. Hiring people is easy but hiring good people that can really help to push your business to the next level can be a frustrating affair. The selection process can be a very long drawn affair which can stretch for months with no good candidates in sight.
When we look for new people to join our company, we go through a number of ways to find good people. First of all, we will get in touch with our local recruitment agencies or head hunting firms to state our intend and criteria for the new people we are looking for. And we will post adverts in our local papers under the “help wanted” section. Lastly we will list the job openings that we have on job websites.
One of the web sites that we go to is Monster.ca. Monster.ca is one of the best sites for employers to list job openings and look for prospective and suitable employees. You can post your job openings under different categories, different provinces and even under certain keywords making your job opening more visible and easier to search for. For employers like us, costs are one area in which we are very particular about. In this case, the costs involved is much lower compared to conventional channels and this is one reason why it is more getting more and more common for employers like us to use Monster.ca.
For job seekers, Monster.ca is a haven with vast number of jobs available. You can search for jobs using keywords, under different categories, locations and more. In fact most organizations in Canada use Monster.ca as a means to advertise for job openings and look for suitable candidates and by registering with Monster.ca, you can be sure of landing that dream job much sooner than you think.
Whether you are looking to hire someone or looking for a new job, you can check out Monster.ca to solve your employment needs. For more information, check out their web site at http://www.monster.ca.
