A term to describe any cat which is not registered for breeding or exhibition in any breed category but may still be a purebred, pedigree or random bred. Although there are household pet classes in many cat shows, these shows are mostly dominated by purebreds or pedigree cats. It is getting more common for shows to to include classes for genuine random bred household pet cats.
